MUSIC AND CHOIR
Many people that get married at the Minster choose to have a choir during their ceremony.
The Ipswich Minster Choir is usually available to sing, whether it’s just to bolster the hymns or to perform a specific piece of music. Costs vary depending on how many singers are required.
Usually the Organist will also provide music and accompaniment to hymns.
BELLS
Many couples choose to have the Minster bells rung to celebrate their wedding day. The joyful sound of the bells ringing out across the town marks the beginning of your married life together and creates a wonderfully festive atmosphere for you and your guests.
Our team of experienced bellringers is usually available to ring both before and after the ceremony. The bells can be rung as your guests arrive, as you leave the church, or at both moments — adding a traditional and memorable flourish to your celebration.
A fee applies for bellringing, which helps support the upkeep of the bells and the work of our volunteer ringers.
If you would like the bells for your wedding, simply let us know when you make your booking, and we will confirm availability and arrangements with the Tower Captain.
