At the heart of Ipswich

we warmly welcome you to Ipswich Minster

Who we are

St Mary-le-Tower has been at the heart of Ipswich for more than a thousand years, and since 1200 has been its Civic Church. It has long been a beacon of faith, hope, and love for its town and parish.

Re-designated as Ipswich Minster in January 2025, our thriving community has embraced a new chapter with renewed spirit and passion. Rooted in our centuries-old mission to love and serve God through love and service of Ipswich and its people, we seek to inspire the renewal of Christian life and the flourishing of all.

Could you be the new Vicar of Ipswich Minster?

We are seeking a priest who will lead and inspire our worshipping community through prayerful, profound liturgy and engaging, thoughtful preaching. This leadership will sustain and grow our life of mission, deepen discipleship, and strengthen our pastoral care. Our civic role and our choral tradition are central to our identity, offering distinctive ways in which we serve the town, engage the wider community, and proclaim the Gospel with both dignity and accessibility.

We look forward, with excitement and hope, to welcoming a Vicar who will lead, support and shape our community, as we seek to deepen our spirituality and grow closer to God.
