Our services explained  

This is a said service lasting about 40 minutes and uses the Communion service in traditional language from the Book of Common Prayer.

This service takes place in the Lady Chapel.

Sundays at 8.00 am; and Wednesdays at 10:30 am

Choral Matins is a traditional Anglican service of Morning Prayer, led by the choir.

Through sung psalms, canticles, prayers, and anthems, it offers a reflective and uplifting start to the day rooted in the Book of Common Prayer. Worshippers join in the hymn and listen as the choir leads much of the liturgy, creating a peaceful and deeply spiritual experience.

Sundays at 9.30 am

This is our main weekly Eucharist with choral and organ music, with the hymns sung by all. It lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes.

During term-time, our Sunday School meet in Church House while the service is taking place, returning in time to share in communion.

Afterwards, we enjoy a social time together, with refreshments.

Sundays at 10.30 am

Evensong follows the traditional liturgy of the Book of Common prayer.

The majority of the service is sung by the Minster Choir and includes prayers and an anthem.  

It is an ideal way to mark the end of a busy day and the transition into evening.

Sunday at 3.30 pm, and Thursday at 6:00pm

Each day begins with this short (20 minute) spoken, contemporary-language service which takes place in the Lady Chapel.

It follows a simple shape combining prayers, psalms and Bible readings as we offer each new day to God.
